If there’s one type of restaurant that California does well, it is the hamburger joint. A new one opened today called “The Counter.” Rather than just listing out the burgers that they make, you have complete control over what type of meat is used, what vegetables go on it (up to 4), what type of cheese from Danish blue to standard cheddar, and the type of bun and sauce. Nice.
Today was its first day and we had planned to go.
As we sit down, the server asked us, “So, have you been here before?”
I looked up at him and replied, “How would that be possible?”
